DESCRIPTION:Input sought for new astronomy club\n\nA local astronomy club is forming and those interested in observing the dark skies of Kittitas County are invited to a public forum July 23 to help get it off the ground.\n\nDuring the forum\, planned for 6-9 p.m. at the Copper Kettle Restaurant\, participants will discuss a name for the new astronomy club and enjoy some solar observing.\n\nMembership to the new club comes with automatic affiliation to the national Astronomical League\; tips on how to observe the dark skies\; special presentations about space\, space exploration\, and astronomy\; and group observing opportunities involving several telescopes.\n\n \n\nFolks do not need to own a telescope to join or learn about the constellations.
