DESCRIPTION:Musicians from around the state will gather at Cornerstone Pie in downtown Ellensburg for 88.1 The ?Burg?s the third annual ?Burgstock? Battle of the Bands Saturday\, May 16 from 3 to 10 p.m. This event is free and open to everyone. One of the goals of Burgstock is to find and promote promising local talent\, and the festival serves as a means of exposure for these yet-to-be-discovered musicians. The hip-hop competition starts at 3 p.m. and the main event\, the battle of the bands\, starts at 4 p.m. The winning band of ?Burgstock? will be awarded free studio recording time at Seattle?s Fast Back Studios as well as a coveted spot at the 2016 Fisherman?s Village Music Festival\, held in downtown Everett and sponsored by the Everett Music Initiative. In addition to a night filled with incredible music\, attendees will also have a chance to win two four-day passes and a camping permit to the 2015 Sasquatch Music Festival. Don?t miss out on this annual concert event and your opportunity to see the promising local artists of today and potential stars of tomorrow.
