DESCRIPTION:Join us Wednesday\, April 12\, 2023 at noon for a one-hour lunch event hosted by the Kittitas County Chamber of Commerce and the Kittitas County Health Network. The topic is Employer-Supported Child Care Technical Assistance aka Family-Friendly Workplaces. This will be presented by Association for Washington Businesses\, WA State Department of Commerce and First Rule Group\, independent professional business consulting firm. During this briefing\, you will meet the team of staff and business consultants as well as hear the business case for family-friendly workplaces\, ROI considerations\, policies and practices employers may consider\, and tangible assessment resources.\n\nAfter the lunch presentation event from 1:30-2:30pm\, there will be an one-hour employer roundtable discussion facilitated by the presenting team including finance and HR experts.\n\nMore about the WA State Department of Commerce Employer-Supported Child Care Technical Assistance Program/Family-Friendly Workplaces:\n\nSince 2018\, a diverse stakeholder group\, WA Child Care Collaborative Task Force has been working on reports and recommendations. The employer-supported child care technical assistance program was one of their recommendations supported and funded by WA State legislature. The program is in its first phase of development and seeks to gain feedback and insights from the Kittitas County leadership and employers.
