Kittitas County Now Accepting Lodging Tax Grant Applications for Projects

Kittitas County\, WA \;- 08/01/2025 \;- Kittitas County\, WA &ndash\; 08-01-2025-Kittitas County is now accepting applications for 2026 Lodging Tax Fund Grants for Special Events and Projects. This call for applications is county-wide.

\nThe application process is only available digitally and must be completed and submitted exclusively online

The Lodging Tax Grant Program for Special Events and Projects is a collaborative program between Kittitas County and each city in the county that collects lodging tax. \;
\nApplicants only need to complete one application to be eligible for consideration. \; The County and the cities of Ellensburg\, Cle Elum\, and Roslyn will jointly review and award funding. \; Funds awarded through this process may be used for tourism marketing\; the marketing and operations of special events and festivals designed to attract tourists\; and supporting the operation of tourism-related facilities owned or operated by non-profit organizations.

\n&ldquo\;The Kittitas County Lodging Tax Advisory Committee is excited to review and evaluate all the grant applications for projects and events in Kittitas County for 2026\,&rdquo\; said Commissioner Osiadacz. \; Commissioner Osiadacz chairs the County&rsquo\;s Lodging Tax Advisory Committee and presides over the joint meetings between the County and the Cities.

\nCompleted grant applications are due no later than \;4:00 PM\, September 19\, 2025. \;

To facilitate the process\, there will be a virtual grant application workshop provided by the Kittitas County Chamber of Commerce. This live training will be held on August 18\, 2021 at 1 p.m. via the Chamber&rsquo\;s Facebook page at \;www.facebook.com/kittitascountychamber\, where the digital application will be presented with instructions and applicants will have the opportunity to review it and ask questions in the comments. The webinar will be recorded and posted on the Kittitas County Chamber of Commerce'\;s Facebook page and website for those to view at their convenience.

The training workshop is updated every year for any application or guideline changes. Starting this year\, attending the current year&rsquo\;s workshop will be a scored portion of the application.
