DESCRIPTION:The CWU Music Department is proud to present its Opera Ensemble in ?Opera Scenes from Here and There? Friday\, June 6 and Sunday\, June 8 at 7 p.m. in Hertz Hall. The Opera Ensemble?s bright vocal talent will shine in this performance\, which includes a wide array of operatic styles and languages displayed through the works of famous composers. Tickets are $7 for seniors and students with ID and $12 for adults and are available at www.cwu.edu/tickets in advance or at the door the night of the event. The performances will include the works of composers Bernstein\, Donizetti\, Massenet\, Monteverdi\, Mozart\, Offenbach\, Puccini\, Strauss and Tchaikovsky ranging from ?Cendrillon? (Cinderella) and ?Pique Dame? to ?Candide? and ?West Side Story.? Whether classic or contemporary\, each performance of this show is sure to captivate the audience with drama\, humor\, romance and compelling storytelling.
