DESCRIPTION:The CWU Center for Diversity and Social Justice (CDSJ) continues their Queer Film Series with a free screening of ?For My Wife\, The Making of an Activist for Marriage Equality? Tuesday\, Feb. 11 at 5 p.m. in the Student Union and Recreation (SURC) Pit.  The film chronicles the story of Charlene Strong\, who has become the voice for marriage equality. In December of 2006\, Strong?s partner of nine years\, Kate Fleming\, died suddenly. Despite their long partnership\, Strong was denied access to be by her side in her final moments. Shortly after her partner?s death\, Strong testified before the House and the Senate in Olympia and as a result of her testimony the Domestic Partnership bill was passed in Washington State.  Relive Strong?s journey and find out how the end of one life lead to marriage equality for the gay and lesbian community in Washington.  For more information contact the CDSJ at diversity@cwu.edu.
