Directed by Brenda Hubbard\, the play is set in 17th century Jacobean period Italy. A duchess who functions as sole ruler of Malfi falls in love and remarries as she battles the forces of evil when her two violent brothers seek to overthrow her. Filled with psychological intrigue and Webster's magnificent poetry\, this story demonstrates both the sunniest and darkest aspects of the human spirit in a vivid and compelling drama.\n\n \n\nThe production will run on Nov. 14\, 15\, 20\, 21 and 22 at 7:30 p.m. as well as Nov. 16 and 23 at 2 p.m. at the Milo Smith Tower Theatre on the CWU campus.
