DESCRIPTION:This adventure is geared toward families or those new to snowshoeing looking for a gentle tour and a fun way to get out during the winter months. Snowshoeing is easy\, great exercise and fun for adults and kids alike. You will learn the basics of using snowshoes\, take a beautiful hike in the snow (1-2 miles) and learn the 7 principles of Leave No Trace. Snowshoes will be provided. Class will meet at Mountain High Sports. Location of the hike is dependent on snow ? students may call closer to class date for further hiking location information. Please dress in warm\, non-cotton clothing\, gloves and hat. You will also need warm waterproof boots or shoes. Bring at least 1 liter of water and a snack. Snowshoes will be provided.
