DESCRIPTION:The Kittitas Environmental Education Network (KEEN) invites you to the 9th annual KEEN Winter Fair\; a free event for the whole family. It takes place Saturday\, January 28\, from 11:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. at the Hal Holmes Center at the Ellensburg Public Library.  KEEN's Winter Fair mission is to promote sustainable living in our community through the intersection of three e's   education\, economy\, and environment. KEEN's Winter Fair is a fun opportunity for community members to discover organizations\, programs\, and vendors that offer local educational opportunities\, information about our environment\, and sustainable-sourced goods and services.  Over 30 exhibitors have participated each year. Learn more about programs such as KEEN's Washington Outdoor School for kids and the Yakima Canyon Interpretive Center (YCIC)\, Kittitas County 4-H\, and groups like Our Environment and the CWU students' Cultural and Environmental Resource Management Association.  Engage with conservation initiatives such as the Washington Water Trust\, Forterra\, Mid-Columbia Fisheries Enhancement\, the Yakima Basin Integrated Water Resource Management Plan\; sign up for home energy audits by Hopesource\, and take a tour of the travelling Selah Mammoth exhibit.  New this year   outside in the parking lot the City of Ellensburg will bring their Vactor Truck and provide information on stormwater management. Goods and services on display and for purchase include everything from mittens and hats made from recycled sweaters\, locally produced wine\, to sustainably grown meat and organic produce from Green Bow Farm\, to small animal massage sessions. Refreshments and lunch will be available for purchase from the Red Pickle Sandwich Truck.
