DESCRIPTION:CWU Campus Activities heard the demands for more live music at CWU. This fall\, multiple talented musical acts spanning many different genres are scheduled to appear including Americana blues rock band Whiskey N' Rye Friday\, Oct. 16 at 8 p.m. in the Student Union and Recreation Center (SURC) Ballroom. The show is free to attend and open to the public\, with free mocktails and snacks.\n\n \n\nThis five-piece generates a sound that harkens back to the simpler times when music could just be about moving\, shaking and feeling good. Featuring crashing drums\, distorted vocals and pounding guitars\, Whiskey N' Rye knows how to move a crowd as Americana spews from the speakers.\n\n \n\nThe band is booked to appear at such large venues as Hempfest and Washington State Fair\, however\, a smaller set at CWU could be the most memorable they've performed at yet.\n\n \n\nFor more information\, contact Campus Activities at 509-963-1450 or Drummond@cwu.edu.
