DESCRIPTION:Are you considering adding ecommerce to your business\, or do you need to beef up your ecom revenue stream? Join us in-person at the Cle Elum Business Development Center\, from 11:30 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. for this free Ecommerce 101 training for business owners. Bring your own brown bag lunch if you like\, light refreshments and snacks will be provided.\n\n\n\nWe'll talk through what you need to get together\, prepare\, and decide\, in order to build a successful ecom operation. We'll discuss the potential platforms that you might use to build and/or host your ecom site\, and help you understand the costs and the pros and cons of each platform.\n\n\n\nWe'll cover selecting what products or services to offer online\, how to name them\, and how to put your best foot forward in the online selling game via product and lifestyle photos\, videos\, and product descriptions.  We'll talk through merchant processing options\, shipping\, pickup\, sales tax\, and order fulfillment.\n\nFinally\, we'll cover some basics of optimizing your site for search engines\, across all platforms\, to support your new or existing ecommerce operation. \n\n\n\nWe'll show you an example marketing funnel system\, and provide you with a list of types of business software and apps that you might consider using\, to support your ecom operation. There will be dedicated time for questions and answers\, so you can see how to apply what you've learned to setting up or improving your own ecommerce operation.\n\n\n\nLiz Jamieson\, a certified business advisor with the Washington SBDC Network\, will be presenting.  Liz has an office in both Cle Elum and Ellensburg and works with clients throughout Kittitas County.  Liz owned her own website design and development firm and has extensive experience coaching entrepreneurs in marketing\, online marketing\, business planning\, loan packaging\, HR\, and leadership.
