DESCRIPTION:For more than five decades the children of legendary Seattle Chorale founder/director\, Leonard Maurice Moore\, and Elizabeth Ellen Hanson Moore\, have been entertaining and warming hearts across the nation. Most recently the family appeared at an interfaith Christmas Celebration in Los Angeles\, CA. The family identified Ellensburg for a holiday concert to not only celebrate the season but\, more importantly\, the family was seeking an opportunity that might give back to the community in some way. When the family heard of the boiler issue plaguing Ellensburg's First United Methodist Church they felt it was an excellent opportunity. A benefit concert will take place in the Ellensburg First United Methodist Church Friday\, December 22 at 7 p.m. The church will accept a love offering as a part of the performance in support of the needed renovation to the heating system at the church. All funds will be directed to the refurbishment of an aging heating system with any residual funds directed to the new roof fund which the church has as an ongoing project.
