DESCRIPTION:The Morning Rotary Club of Ellensburg is pleased to invite your business/organization to join us in an exciting community event.  In an effort to support our local food bank\, we are planning to hold the first annual Ellensburg Morning Rotary Munch Madness competition.  Our goal is to engage the Ellensburg area businesses and organizations in a friendly competition against each other to raise food for the Ellensburg FISH Food Bank.  Your group could have the opportunity to help to raise over 5\,000 pounds of food to donate to FISH. Last year Ellensburg High School students alone raised over 3\,000 pounds.  Just think what we can do as a larger community!\n\n\n\nThe Munch Madness competition will be structured similar to the NCAA "March Madness" college basketball tournament.  Businesses and organizations participating will be placed in tournament style brackets as a team\, and on a weekly basis from the dates of March 3rd   April 4th\, teams will collect food.  On Fridays during these dates\, teams will bring their collected food to the FISH food bank from the hours of 3pm to 5pm to weigh in their contributions.  The teams that bring in the most food in pounds move on in the brackets.  Teams knocked out of the competition are encouraged to support and partner with another team of their choice that has moved ahead.\n\n\n\nIf your business/organization is up for this challenge\, here is how you can get involved.  \n\n\n\n        To participate\, send the name and contact person of your business/organization to the following email: emrcmunchmadness@yahoo.com or by calling Heather Burfeind at 509-929-2450  or Sarah Keith 509-607-9813 by February 21\, 2014. \n\n        Once we receive your information\, we will set up the Munch Madness tournament brackets and send them out to participating groups.  Tournament brackets will also be published in the Daily Record and posted on the Ellensburg Morning Rotary Facebook.\n\n        Then\, on March 3rd\, it is "ready\, set\, and go" to collect food for FISH!\n\n\n\nThis is an electrifying community-wide opportunity for a valued community service.  The power of combining forces to serve an important service organization such the FISH Food Bank has lasting efforts for the Ellensburg population in need.  Friendly competition for a good cause   it doesn't get much better than this.  The Ellensburg Morning Rotary Club looks forward to your participation and support of this opportunity.\n\n\n\nWe know you will consider how your involvement in this event can make a larger impact on the Ellensburg community!
