SUMMARY:Patt Haley Memorial Fund
DESCRIPTION:Patt Haley was an administrative assistant to the Vice President for Student Affairs. Her career at Central began in 1972 as an administrative secretary for the dean of students. Throughout the next 36 years\, she held various titles within Central's Division of Student Affairs and Enrollment Management. As the entire division evolved over time\, she was the staff member that provided constant stability to the units.\n\n\n\nPatt was always very interested in the individual student. She understood that for many students\, financial support is difficult to secure and tenuous to maintain. Employment\, financial aid\, and community resources can all help to meet typical student needs. Sometimes\, however\, unexpected\, unusual\, and/or catastrophic challenges occur that have a negative impact on a student's ability to stay in school.\n\n\n\nA CWU Foundation account has been established in Patt's name to address these types of student needs. The inaugural event raised about $7\,000. The goal is to increase the fund beyond $10\,000 so that emergency financial support can begin to be distributed.\n\n\n\nReconnect with others in the university community while you are enjoying appetizers\, wine\, beer\, and/or non-alcoholic beverages at this fundraiser and silent auction.\n\n\n\nAll proceeds will support the Patt Haley Memorial Scholarship.
