DESCRIPTION:On Tuesday\, June 8\, Central Washington University?s Museum of Culture and Environment (MCE)\, Environmental Resource Management Association (ERMA) and the Ellensburg Public Library will host a public screening of the 76 minute documentary Tapped as part of the Second Tuesday Film Series. The film series aims to educate and inform the Ellensburg and Kittitas County community on local and global water resource issues as well as encourage community dialogue and foster ideas for upcoming MCE exhibits and programming.\n\n\n\nFrom the producers of Who Killed the Electric Car and I.O.U.S.A.\, Tapped is a timely behind-the-scenes look into the unregulated and unseen world of an industry that aims to privatize and sell back the one resource that ought never to become a commodity: our water. \n\n\n\nFrom the production of plastic to the ocean\, where so much plastic ends up\, this inspiring documentary trails the path of the bottled water industry and the communities that are the unwitting chips on the table. A powerful portrait of the lives affected by the bottled water industry\, Tapped features those caught at the intersection of big business and the public?s right to water. \n\n\n\nThe event will begin at 5:00pm with a Tap Water Challenge.  Tapped will begin at 5:30pm. Please join the MCE\, ERMA and Ellensburg Public Library at the Hal Holmes Center (Ellensburg Public Library)\, 209 North Ruby Street\, Ellensburg\, WA.
