DESCRIPTION:Showcase of Action: Washington Secretary of State Kim Wyman Monday\, May 6 Noon to 1 p.m. SURC second floor mezzanine FREE Join Washington Secretary of State Kim Wyman for hot dogs\, cool drinks and a lively look at civic involvement. The Showcase of Action event will display student efforts to improve voter participation over the past year. There will also be a voter registration station\, opportunities to have your photo taken with Secretary Wyman and other officials\, and a chance for students to vote on what civically oriented programs they would like to see at Central. At 12:30 p.m.\, in the SURC Theatre\, Secretary Wyman will speak about the importance of voting and giving back to the community. Less than 8 percent of Washington residents who voted in the 2012 General Election were ages 18-24. Secretary Wyman?s visit and speech are to encourage CWU students to vote. Please come to Showcase of Action and have fun\, meet Secretary Wyman and learn what we can all do to better our community.
