Follow Your Nose to Thorp this October for the 2014 Thorp Community Day Friday\, October 3 &\; Saturday\, October 4\, 2014 \;
\n\nThe Thorp Community Day Board of Directors are gearing up for another successful Thorp Community Day Festival. This year we will be bringing back all the favorites as well as adding many new activities and attractions for the whole family to enjoy! \;
\n\nWe will kick the weekend off with the 3rd Annual Thorp Community Day Kick Off Event\, held at the Thorp School Brick Building Gym\, on Friday\, October 3 at 6:00 PM. Dinner will be catered by Cascade Mountain Grilling. The night will feature numerous Silent Auction items\, great food\, great fun\, and the induction of the 2014 Patrons of Thorp\, Andy Dyk\, Mildred Osborn\, &\; Gene Brain\, and the honoring of Parade Grand Marshall Dick Fields. \;
\n\nThe fun will really begin on Saturday\, October 4 as the Thorp Community Day activities\, events\, and attractions officially begin. The day will begin with a community breakfast at the Fire Station\, prepared by the volunteer fire fighters. At 9:30 am the parade will take route down 1st street onto Thorp Highway and commence at the Thorp Mill Parking Lot. The best place to watch the parade from will be at the Thorp Fire Station\, Thorp School\, and near the main parking areas. \;
\n\nA major change at this year&rsquo\;s Thorp Community Day is that all the activities will take place at the Thorp Fire Station located at 10700 N Thorp Highway. The Fire Station will be home to well over 25 vendors\, numerous old fashioned carnival games\, such as Milk Bottle Bash\, Balloon Burst\, and Cake Walk. Cascade Mountain Grilling will return again this year to supply our spectators with delicious hamburgers\, hot dogs and beverages. \;
\n\nAlso we will again this year feature numerous entertainment offerings on our main stage. This year&rsquo\;s entertainers will bring a wide variety of entertainment to the stage. Country\, Jazz\, Blues\, Rock and Roll\, Dancing and more can be found at this year&rsquo\;s Thorp Community Day. See the full schedule on the next page. \;
\n\nVendor\, Parade\, and Community Participation Entries \;
\n\nThe Thorp Community Day is still accepting Vendor Application Forms now through Friday\, September 26. After that all Vendor entries will be charged a $10.00 late fee. No entry forms will be accepted after Thursday\, October 2\, 2014 \;
\n\nPricing Information: INDOOR 10X10: $25.00 (Limited\, first come basis) OUTDOOR 10X10 : $20.00 (Must furnish own tent) \;
\n\nParade applications will be accepted now through Monday\, September 29\, 2014. It is free to enter the parade. The parade follows a fall theme every year! \;
\n\nA new addition to this year&rsquo\;s Thorp Community Day is the Community Participation Division. We encourage all community members to enter into either the Scarecrow Building Contest or the Pumpkin Carving contest and enter them into the Thorp Community Day.
