DESCRIPTION:Cascade\, the U.S. Navy?s premier northwestern jazz ensemble\, will perform at Central Washington University Sept. 23\, at 7 p.m. \n\nCascade offers the finest in America?s true classical music ? jazz. Under the musical direction of Chief Musician Patrick Hawes\, Cascade combines the best of contemporary big band compositions with classic jazz hits from the 1940s. \n\nA specialty unit of Navy Band Northwest\, this group features 18 highly talented and versatile musicians who entertain a variety of audiences numbering over 900\,000 annually. In addition to the Keyport Concert Series\, jazz festivals\, and other public performances\, Cascade presents concerts and educational clinics at high schools and colleges throughout the Pacific Northwest region. \n\nThis free concert will be held in the Central Washington University Music Building Concert Hall.
