2015 CWU College Rodeo
It?s rodeo season, and college cowboys and cowgirls from across the northwest are ready to ride. The weekend of Friday, April 24 through Sunday, April 26 at the Kittitas County Fairgrounds Rodeo Arena brings the CWU Rodeo Club?s 2015 Todd Anderson Memorial College Rodeo. This event is free and open to the public. The competition kicks off Friday, April 24 with Slack from noon to 3 p.m. Slack consists of a variety events including Barrel Racing, Tie-Down Roping, Goat Tying and Team Roping. Friday?s Performance round will be from 6 to 9 p.m. and will include Bareback Riding, Saddle Bronc, Steer Wrestling and Bull Riding. Saturday?s Slack will be from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. and Performance will be from 6 to 9 p.m. The competitive events wrap up Sunday with the Championship Short Go from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. Alongside the competitive events, the weekend includes a variety of special events everyone will enjoy. Rodeo-goers are invited to participate in the silent auction Friday from 6 to 9 p.m. in support of the Todd Anderson Memorial Scholarship fund, kids are sure to love the stick horse race Saturday at 5:30 p.m. and everyone is invited to join in Cowboy Church Sunday at 9 a.m. For more information visit the CWU Rodeo Facebook page at www.facebook.com/CWUrodeo.
