April 15 CWU Black Film Series presents Dark Girls
The CWU Center for Diversity and Social Justice (CDSJ) Black Film Series premiers Wednesday, April 15 at 6:30 p.m. in Black Hall room 151 with a screening of directors D. Channsin Berry and Bill Duke’s documentary, “Dark Girls.” This event is free and open to the public.
Featuring powerful testimonial from African American community members, as well as Hollywood actors and actresses, including Academy Award winning actress Viola Davis, this riveting documentary explores the deep-seated bias and attitudes about skin color outside of and within the black community – particularly toward women.
