ASCWU Hosts Passport Application Event at CWU
The Associated Students of Central Washington University (ASCWU) Student Government wants to make applying for a passport as easy as possible and in support of this goal they are bringing the services to campus. ASCWU Student Government is partnering with the Kittitas County Clerk?s Office to host CWU Passport Day Monday, April 27 from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. in Student Union and Recreation Center (SURC) room 202. This event is open to public. Everyone is encouraged to take this opportunity to complete the required steps to receive a passport all in one place, including applications, passport and payments. The Kittitas County Clerk?s Office will have representatives on hand to help facilitate the process and answer any questions. Attendees need to be sure to bring their checkbook as the fee for a passport is $135 and must be paid by two separate checks: one made payable to the Kittitas County Clerk?s Office for $25 and one to the Department of State for $110, and an expedited processing service is available for an additional $60 fee. In addition, applicants should come prepared with their driver?s license in order to complete the application process. For more information contact the ASCWU Student Government office at 509-963-1693 or ascwu@cwu.edu.
