Beyond Undergrad: School of Graduate Studies Fair at CWU
While pursuing an undergraduate degree is a great way to ensure future success, earning a master?s degree can amplify that success even more. CWU offers more than 25 graduate studies programs for students interested in a wide variety of subjects, and the staff and faculty at the School of Graduate Studies seek to help students continue their academic studies beyond undergrad. Though going after a master?s degree may seem daunting, the School of Graduate Studies makes researching graduate school much easier by hosting the School of Graduate Studies Fair on Jan. 12 from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. in Student Union and Recreation Center (SURC) 137. Attendance is free and open to the public. People with master?s degrees may receive promotions in their careers, earn higher salaries than those without master?s degrees, change careers more easily, develop new knowledge and skills and potentially continue to pursue education through a doctoral program. There?s no one kind of master?s degree; some programs offer completion in as little as one or two years, and others are offered entirely online, so students can find what program fits them best. By attending the fair, students gain the opportunity to explore grad school and career options and learn how to apply for a graduate program, all with the help of the School of Graduate Studies? encouraging staff and faculty.
