DHC Miniversity: It's About Time
Are you curious about your world? Would you like to explore it with like-minded seekers, led by award-winning professors? Central Washington University?s William O. Douglas Honors College is hosting a series of four-week symposia designed to nurture your sense of wonder about the world. FALL QUARTER: What is time? Albert Einstein said that time is an illusion. This symposium will examine the fascinating and puzzling concepts of time from several different points of view. We will discuss calendars and clocks, the relationship of time and culture, the philosophy of time, and the special place of time in modern physics?including the possibility of time travel.
