, For the Record: Memoir, Oral History, and Family Life Stories will focus on practical tips for writing about personal life and family stories. These stories often comprise an important legacy, but recording them gets complicated. Claire Gebben leads participants through exercises and strategies for writing about the past. The session will guide participants to the art, and heart of telling these important stories. Claire will also be doing a book signing of her new book, The Last of the Blacksmiths, a novel based on her family?s true story.
