When: Wednesday, June 4 at 7 p.m. Where: Student Union and Recreation Center (SURC) Ballroom Free, Open to the public The Africana and Black Studies Program & Center for Diversity and Social Justice present "American?s Most Wanted: Hip-hop, the Media and the Prison Industrial Complex" Wednesday, June 4 at 7 p.m. in the Student Union and Recreation Center (SURC) Ballroom. The event will be moderated by hip-hop artist and activist, Jasiri X, as the prison crisis in America is examined. Jasiri X will analyze how various corporations beyond media and entertainment fuel what activists deem ?the prison industrial complex,? attributed to over 2 million prisoners working for various industries for a pittance.
