Latino Americans History: Prejudice and Pride
Join the James E. Brooks Library on Tuesday, Oct. 27 at 7 p.m. for ?Latino Americans History: Prejudice and Pride.? This presentation, featuring a lecture and discussion with CWU associate professor of Latin American Politics Dr. Gilberto Garcia, will be in the Brooks Music Library and is free and open to the public. Accompanying the lecture will be a screening of ?Prejudice and Pride,? the fifth episode of the PBS series ?Latino Americans: The 500-year Legacy that Shaped a Nation.? This episode focuses on the role of activism in the 1960?s and 1970?s and the impacts it left on today?s Chicano, Latino and Mexican cultures.
