Directed by Guy Ritchie
Guy Richie is back after a four-year hiatus with “The man from U.N.C.L.E.,” a smart, fun action comedy with a star-studded cast. Solo (Henry Cavill) and Illya (Armie Hammer) team up to stop a mysterious criminal organization from making nuclear weapons. This sounds like standard movie territory, but Ritchie’s direction takes the movie to heights the genre rarely reaches.
Why it’s worth seeing: In a world of sequels and superhero flicks, it’s nice to see a blockbuster with a little more character and originality.
For fans of: The “Mission Impossible” series and “Snatch” (same director).
