Tea @ 3: Logan Seelye
Tea at 3 is an engaging and interactive speaker series where attendees hear from CWU faculty, staff and community members as they share stories of their personal journeys to their current places in life. On Wednesday, May 11, attendees can join Logan Seelye, 2009 CWU alum, in the Student Union and Recreation Center (SURC) Pit at 3 p.m. Attendance is free and open to the public. As an aspiring high school athlete, Logan Seelyes world drastically changed his junior year. While tackling a receiver at football camp, Seelye broke his neck and suffered a spinal cord injury. Doctors told him he would never walk again. Seelye did not believe them and has not stopped fighting since, which he expressed during his keynote speech at his graduation in 2009. Dedicated to self-commitment and discipline, Seelye lives by the saying ?Life is 10% what happens to you and 90% how you react to it.? In 2015 he released a book, ?10 and 90: The Tackle that Changed Everything.?
