Unheard Voices: Warming the Winter
Nov. 4, 2014) The CWU Center for Leadership and Community Engagement (CLCE) and Growth International Volunteer Excursions' (GIVE) program are teaming up to host "Unheard Voices: Warming the Winter" Thursday, Nov. 13 from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. at D&M Coffee downtown, on the corner of Pine and 3rd Streets. Unheard Voices is a quarterly program where CLCE works to bring awareness and support to a variety of causes, both locally and internationally. This year, the event will combine live music from local talent with a coat, hat, glove and scarf drive to benefit Abuse Support and Prevention Education Now (ASPEN) abuse victims in Kittitas County. The music lineup includes CWU students David Stevens, Tabitha Hardy, Joshua Arquette-Rotman and community member Kyle Bain.
Those unable to attend can drop off gently used items at one of these locations: Ellensburg Public Library, CWU Student Union and Recreation Center (SURC) room 256, SURC Pit, D&M Coffee downtown, D&M Coffee on Water St. and Super 1 Foods.
