DESCRIPTION:The annual 10-day Central Washington State Fair\, presented by Legends Casino Hotel\, will\n\nrun September 20th   29TH with this year's Fair theme\, "Harvest the Fun." There is a lot to celebrate in our Valley around\n\nharvest season and this year the Fair will be highlighting one of the top commodities grown in the valley   Apples. The\n\nFair's feature agricultural display will focus on the history of the apple industry\, and the varieties grown in our Valley and\n\nhow Yakima Valley feeds the world with this delicious\, sweet fruit.\n\n\n\nTo support this year's theme\, the Fair is launching its official CWSF Apple Pie Baking Contest. "So\, Bakers' dust off your\n\nfavorite apple pie recipes and start planning\, you could go home with $500 1st place prize money and bragging rights for\n\nthe best Apple Pie in the Valley\," said CEO Kathy Kramer. There will be two categories   adult and youth with three prize\n\nlevels. The apple pie judging will take place on Saturday\, September 21st and contest winners will be announced on the\n\nPacific Power Community Stage at 3:00 pm that same day.
