DESCRIPTION:Upper Kittitas County Senior Center hosts the next installment of Free Community Talks featuring foot care specialist Shyla Thelen\, RN. \n\nAs seniors age\, feet undergo natural changes that make choosing proper footwear essential. Shoes you once loved might cause foot pain as you get older. \n\nThelen\, a registered nurse specializing in foot care\, will provide expert guidance on healthy shoe choices. Comfort\, support and proper fit are the key factors to look for. The right shoes can help prevent foot pain\, improve posture\, increase mobility\, help with balance\, and reduce the risk of injury.\n\nWe'll have a selection of suggested shoes to look at and discuss\, or you can bring your own shoes of choice to review with Shyla. \n\nThis educational session offers community members of all ages an opportunity to address their foot health concerns in a supportive environment. Participants are encouraged to bring questions for the Q&A portion of the talk.
