SUMMARY:Consolidated Lodging Tax Application Workshop
DESCRIPTION:Kittitas County will be accepting county-wide applications for the 2022 Lodging Tax Fund Grants for Special Events and Projects starting Friday\, August 20\, 2021. Lodging Tax Funds can be used for the marketing and operations of special events and festivals designed to attract tourists\, supporting operations and capital expenditures of tourism-related facilities owned or operated by a municipality or a public facilities district\, and/or supporting the operations of tourism-related facilities owned or operated by nonprofit organizations.\n\n \n\nTo facilitate the process\, there will be a virtual grant application workshop provided by the Kittitas County Chamber of Commerce. This live training will be held on August 18\, 2021 at 1 p.m. via the Chamber's Facebook page at www.facebook.com/kittitascountychamber\, where the digital application will be presented with instructions and applicants will have the opportunity to review it and ask questions in the comments. The webinar will be recorded and posted on the Kittitas County Chamber of Commerce's Facebook page and website for those to view at their convenience.\n\n \n\nThe training workshop is updated every year for any application or guideline changes. Starting this year\, attending the current year's workshop will be a scored portion of the application.\n\n \n\nThe Lodging Tax Fund Grant application will be posted on the Kittitas County website at www.co.kittitas.wa.us/auditor/accounting/lodging-tax/cltac-guide.aspx?fbclid=IwAR1eBxgSO4SievTNbaggARhfOo1f4JEq0sUkAZHb0cHPwPs7VkQg4Jr34fs. The application process is only available digitally and must be completed and submitted exclusively online. Completed grant applications are due no later than DATE.
