Known as one of the only events of its kind in Washington State\, the award-winning Burnouts Competition draws participants and spectators from across the region for an unforgettable display of horsepower and tire-smoking action on Main Street.\n\n\n\nOnline early bird registration is available at a discounted rate of $25.00 per vehicle. Day-of registrations increase to $30.00\, space permitting. If you are also participating in the Car Show you must fill out a separate registration found here.\n\n\n\nSchedule of Events:\n\n8:00 a.m - Registration and Vendor Setup Begins\n\n10:00 a.m. - Car Show and Vendors Open\n\n2:00 p.m. - Car Show Ends\n\nCar Show Awards Ceremony\n\n2:30 p.m. - Entertainment\n\n3:00 p.m. - Burnouts Competition\n\nAward Ceremony Following Burnouts\n\n\n\nBurnouts Rules & Regulations\n\nAll burnout vehicles must be street legal\, have a valid driver's license\, minimum insurance coverage\, a driveshaft loop installed\, and pass a safety inspection before competing. \n\n\n Registration & Entry\n \n Contestants must pre-register and pay the entry fee before 2:00 p.m. on August 15\, 2026.\n A liability waiver and announcement card must be completed before receiving a contestant number\, which is required for participation. \n \n \n Driver Requirements\n \n A valid driver's license and minimum insurance coverage as required by Washington State Law are mandatory.\n Minimum age to participate is 18 years old.\n \n \n Safety & Conduct\n \n Seatbelts must be worn at all times. \n No passengers are allowed in burnout vehicles.\n All drivers must pass a breathalyzer test before participating. If a driver appears under the influence of alcohol or drugs in any way\, they will be removed from the competition. \n \n \n Vehicle Safety Inspection\n \n All vehicles must pass a basic safety inspection\n If a safety official deems a vehicle unsafe\, it will not be allowed to compete.\n A driveshaft loop is required on all burnout vehicles. \n \n \n Burnout Rules\n \n Each contestant is allowed one burnout attempt - no practice runs or re-runs\n This is a slow rolling burnout competition - standing still is not permitted. \n Awards are determined by smoke production and the length of tire marks left on the pavement. \n There are three competition classes open to all\, each with a 1st place winner: \n \n Pro Class (previous winners and challengers)\n Amateur Class (new challenger)\n Truck Class\n \n \n \n \n Course Guidelines & Safety\n \n Drivers must follow the predetermined course and stop accelerating immediately when signaled by safety officials. \n Vehicles must remain centered on the double yellow line. \n If a vehicle veers off course or moves in a way deemed unsafe\, the driver will be flagged to stop. Failure to comply will result in disqualification.\n \n \n Burnout Parking & Staging\n \n A designated burnout parking area will be provided where drivers will receive instructions and safety inspections. \n Burnouts will be conducted by class\, so ensure you are registered in the correct category. \n \n \n Final Compliance \n \n All Participants must follow the directions of safety officials and the Pit Crew at all times\n Failure to comply\, will result in immediate disqualification
