DESCRIPTION:Join us on Earth Day for a silent auction and night of revelry to benefit Discovery Lab of Ellensburg. \n\n\n\nThe night will kick off with music from Abbiggale Band and a cocktail hour with a grazing experience from Abundant Tables. \n\n\n\nSteppe Into Discovery is Discovery Lab of Ellensburg's First Annual Silent Auction on Earth Day at the Armory. We will celebrate our project based community school with a night of Music\, Food\, Silent Auction\, and Cash Bar with Local Beer and Wine. Featuring Music from Abbigale Band a local Rockabilly band to get people dancing\, a grazing experience from Abundant Table in Yakima. Local Beer from Iron Horse Brewery and Wine from Townshend Winery in Spokane. Your $35 Ticket includes entrance to the event\, a bidder number\, food\, and one drink ticket. \n\n\n\nDiscovery Lab was founded in 2011 by Natalia Parker and Tosha Woods as an effort to bring more diverse educational opportunities to Kittitas County.  As educators and parents\, both Parker and Woods envisioned creating learning environments that were adaptive and able to provide authentic and meaningful engagement for students.  Over the 10 years of its existence\, Discovery Lab has continued to evolve to meet the needs of the learners and the community.  Our current model focuses on creating meaningful learning through the use of Project-Based Learning\, multi-age learning cohorts\, and utilizing practices that create humanizing classrooms.
