88.1 The Burg is ready to pull out all the stops as they prepare for the 5th anniversary of National College Radio Day. Music, food, a parade and a street festival in downtown Ellensburg will all be part of the evenings celebration. The festivities begin at 7:30 p.m. with a parade from the CWU campus to downtown Ellensburg. With a neon and glow-stick theme and live music performed by Ellensburgs own blues-rock band Thunderhound atop a parade float, anyone and everyone is welcome and encouraged to join in the parade. The parade route will lead to the festivals outdoor venue located at the 400-block public lot between North Main and North Pearl streets, where the celebration really kicks off at 8 p.m. with a live opening musical act. Local food-truck vendors Los Chilangos, Kenzie's Hot Shots and Hot Diggidy Dog will be on site offering their street eats to attendees. The party will all lead up to the headlining act Ayron Jones and the Way at 9:15 p.m., who will be on stage for the remainder of the free concert.
