Musical excellence will combine with engaging stage presence as the world famous Canadian Brass quintet takes the stage at CWU. The public is invited to attend this concert Monday, Feb. 9 at 7 p.m. in the Jerilyn S. McIntyre Music Building Concert Hall. Tickets are $5 for CWU students and $10 for general admission and are available online at www.cwu.edu/tickets. Though the quintet plays traditional brass instruments, Canadian Brass brings new life to chamber music. Their repertoire spans from Baroque to Dixieland, and includes modern arrangements created especially for them. The five musicians have performed worldwide in the U.S., Canada, Japan, Australia, the Middle East, Europe and South America. While traveling, the group often offers masterclasses and works with students and young audiences as a way of bringing Canadian Brass? love of music to the next generation. Through their performances on ?The Tonight Show,? ?The Today Show,? ?Entertainment Tonight? and even ?Sesame Street,? Canadian Brass has become a household name.
