An evening of jazz, art, and empowerment. On April 7, CWU?s Center for Diversity and Social Justice (CDSJ) will be hosting a women?s poetry slam at 6:30 p.m. in the Student Union and Recreation (SURC) Ballroom. The event, which will feature women from all walks of life on and off of CWU?s campus reading poems, will also feature living painting and jazz. ?It?s a celebration of the power of voice and story,? Taylor Boteilho, Student Program Coordinator for the CDSJ, said about the event. ?There?s going to be a lot of different textures playing off of each other beautifully.? The event is free and open to the public, it promises not to disappoint.
