CWU College Rodeo

The CWU Rodeo Club is hosting the National Intercollegiate Rodeo Association (NIRA) Northwest Collegiate Rodeo on Friday, April 26 at the Ellensburg Rodeo Arena. The competition begins at noon, admission is free and open to the public. The action begins at noon with the slack competition, where the field will be set for the performance later in the night. The main performance is at 6 p.m., where qualifiers from the slack will compete in events like steer wrestling, bronc’ riding and barrel racing. Rodeo fans are sure to enjoy watching members Central’s Rodeo club compete against other NIRA schools including Eastern Oregon University, Walla Walla Community College and Blue Mountain Community College.
