Olmstead Place State Park, one of the first homesteads in Kittitas Valley, is getting a hand with small maintenance projects this spring. The Center for Leadership and Community Engagement (CLCE) and Olmstead Place State Park have a robust group of volunteers that are coming out in honor of national Earth Week to assist in preserving this Kittitas Valley landmark Saturday, April 25 from 9:30 a.m. to 2 p.m.
Even though there aren’t any more volunteer spots open, there is a wait list and those interested can register online at www.cwu.edu/leadership-engage. If a spot opens up, waitlisted participants would be the first to fill the spot.
Transportation to the site and materials will be provided. Please wear comfortable clothing that you don't mind getting dirty and closed-toed shoes.
For more information, contact the CLCE at 509-963-1850 or by emailing clce@cwu.edu.
