The sounds of traditional Native American drums and songs will fill the air on Saturday, Oct. 10 at the CWU Pow Wow. The Center for Diversity and Social Justice (CDSJ) invite the CWU and Ellensburg communities to join in the celebration of Native American culture while learning about Native American traditions and history. From 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. on the CWU Japanese Garden Lawn there will be a variety of events and activities for all ages. From festive dancing to cultural storytelling to musical performances by Spirit of Renegade and Indian Nation, the CWU Pow Wow is offered free and open to the public. This event is sponsored by the CDSJ and is made possible in part thanks to a generous grant from the Muckleshoot Tribe. For more information, please contact the CDSJ at 509-963-2122 or diversity@cwu.edu.
