CWU Trio Chamber Recital: Snedeker, Ahn and Erickson
On Tuesday, May 27, at 7:30 pm current and former music faculty will present a concert of chamber music for horn, oboe, and piano. Dr Jeffrey Snedeker (horn) and Dr Giyong Ahn (piano) will team with former CWU faculty member Scott Erickson (oboe) to present varied and interesting works by French, German, and American composers. French composer Adolphe Blanc composed his lovely Romance for three Parisian friends in 1872. German composer Carl Reinecke was a close friend of Johannes Brahms, and completed his lush and monumental trio in 1900. American James Stephenson composed Mind Fields during a dark time in his life as his father struggled with the effects of a stroke. This concert is free and open to the public.
