Diabetes and the GMO Labeling Initiative
Healthy eating for diabetes involves fruits, vegetables and whole grains which may be genetically modified without your knowledge. Currently there is no Federal or State Law requiring Genetically Modified Organism (GMO) labeling. I-522 will be on the WA state ballot in November 2013. Come learn more about this health-related initiative. Question and Answer session with the presenters begins at 4:00 p.m. Program begins at 4:30. Family and new members are welcome to attend.
