Every Mothers Son Film Screening

Horrible circumstances bring three women, from very different walks of life, together to seek justice and turn their grief into an opportunity for profound social change. Every Mothers Son, a film telling the story of three mothers who lost their sons to police brutality, will be shown on March 10 at 6:00 p.m. in Black Hall room 151. The film, Audience Award Winner at the 2004 Tribeca Film Festival, received an Emmy nomination for "Outstanding Individual Achievement in a Craft: Directing" as part of the PBS' national Point of View Series. Every Mothers Son was also chosen to be a part of the National Video Resources? Human Rights Video Project, a national library project that uses documentary films to increase the publics awareness of human rights issues. The showing, free and open to the public, will be presented and introduced by Sociology Professor, Dr. Nelson Picardo.
