To honor the First Amendment, the CWU Department of Communications and The Daily Record will host the First Amendment Festival May 11 through 14 with a series of events in celebration of the freedoms of speech, religion, the press and peaceful assembly and demonstration. All events are free and open to the public. As a way of demonstrating the power of free speech, the festival will offer ?Food for Thought? on Thursday, May 14 from 11 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. on the Student Union and Recreation Center (SURC) East Patio, during which attendees will have the chance to trade their First Amendment rights for a slice of free cheese pizza.
