Nobody should ever have to worry about where his or her next meal will come from. In order to make the dream of having sufficient food no matter the financial situation a reality, the CWU Equity and Services Council (ESC) is hosting a FISH food drive to support the Ellensburg Friends in Service to Humanity (FISH) Food Bank. Starting Friday, June 5 through Sunday, June 7 food drop-off locations will be set-up at Super 1 Foods and Grocery Outlet from 5 to 8 p.m. From Monday, June 1 through Thursday, June 11 food drop-offs will be accepted all day in the CWU Student Union and Recreation Center (SURC) C-Store, near the West entrance.
FISH Food Bank is looking for a wide variety of non-perishable food items including: canned fruits or vegetables, dried fruit, jams/jellies, pasta sauces, rice/quinoa, pasta/noodles, cereal, oatmeal, peanut butter, canned soup, mac n’ cheese, baby food, granola bars, crackers, beans and canned proteins, diapers, personal items, toiletries and pet food.
