Gallery One Presents Alfredo Arreguín to Ellensburg
Ellensburg, Wash. (April 18, 2013) - Hispanic culture is a vibrant blend of passion, pride, and family. Gallery One will display the essence of this culture for their upcoming exhibit, Primevera by Alfredo Arreguín. An opening reception for the exhibit will take place 5-7pm First Friday, on May 3rd. Following on Saturday, May 4th, Gallery One will further celebrate Hispanic culture with Día de La Familia, a family event showcasing the artwork of Arreguín and unique art activities.
The event will begin at 11 am with a brief lecture from the artist about his artwork and inspiration. Guests are then invited to stay for event activities from 12 to 3 pm. These activities include bottle cap magnet making, printmaking using Arreguín's bird and monkey artwork as well as coloring for younger family members. Arreguín will be present in the gallery during these activities. Hispanic inspired refreshments and food will also be available.

Arreguín was selected to represent the United States at the 11th International Festival of Painting at Cagnes-sur-Mer, France in 1979. It was there that he won the Palm of the People Award. Arreguín's work has also been featured on the poster for the Centennial Celebration of the State of Washington and on the design of the White House Easter Egg, both in 1994.
