King Coal Ceremony & Coal Miner Days Parade
The King Coal Coronation is a time-honored tradition that pays tribute to the hardworking men and women who have shaped our community through coal mining. This year we will be honoring Jim “Eddy” Russom as our King Coal. Attendees can look forward to a ceremony filled with pageantry and pride as we honor our current and past King Coals and their families. The ceremony also recognizes and honors our current and past Pioneer Queens.
Following our Ceremony is Roslyn’s Community Coal Miner days parade. The parade begins at 11am and will journey through the heart of Roslyn, with coal miners, their families, local businesses, and civic groups joining in the celebration to honor the coal mining and logging industries and their role in our community’s history and future. For more information on the parade and to participate contact Nolan Weis at (509) 674-6277.
