Let's Taco 'Bout Presidential Primaries!
LET’S TACO ‘BOUT PRESIDENTIAL PRIMARIES!
[Ellensburg, WA] League of Women Voters of Kittitas County in collaboration with Associated Students of CWU, CWU Libraries and the Ellensburg Public Library will hold a free public forum on Washington State’s 2024 Presidential Primary, Thursday, February 22, 2024, 5:00 - 6:00 pm. The Forum will be held at the CWU Student Union and Recreation Center, Room 137A/B located at 1007 N Chestnut St, Ellensburg. Free parking is available on campus after 4:30 pm.
Washington's Presidential Primary is a way for voters to help the major political parties choose presidential nominees and will be held March 12, 2024. Forum panelists will explain how presidential primaries came to be what they are today, how to make sure your vote counts, and how to participate further in the nominating process. Panel members include:
- Todd Schaefer (CWU Professor of Political Science)
- Bryan Elliott (Kittitas County Auditor)
- Marlene Pfeifer (Kittitas County Republican Party Chair)
- Jerry Pettit (Kittitas County Democratic Party Representative)
- Noel Trujillo-Garcia (ASCWU Panel Moderator)
ASCWU will provide FREE TACOS to students! Also this Forum is included as University 101 credit!
A Q&A session follows the panel discussion. The forum video will be available on ECTV2, Spectrum Channel 131 and the LWVKC YouTube Channel.
