If you’re looking for a California alt-rock fix, look no further. For the first time ever, five-piece band HAWAI is coming to CWU Wednesday, Sept. 30 with an acoustic teaser at noon in the Student Union and Recreation Center (SURC) Pit, and a full show at 8 p.m. in the same location. The show is free to attend and open to the public.
Hailing from sunny Costa Mesa, this five-piece is currently working on their debut EP, which they hope to release later in the year. They recently released their first singles, “Fault” and “In My Head” on YouTube and music sharing service Soundcloud in July 2015. The group employs a familiar sound of alternative pop that will make fans of Band of Horses feel right at home.
