Twenty years from now, we’ll all look back and point to “The Avengers” as the formula for how to create a superb ensemble superhero flick. Whedon is back to direct the sequel of the 2012 hit featuring Ultron as the new villain, and it’s up to the Avengers to once again assemble to take down Earth’s newest, greatest foe.
 
Why it’s worth seeing: Anytime a director is able to handle so many characters so eloquently, it’s worth a look. Also, the action is handsomely directed.
 
For fans of: “The Avengers” (same director) and basically any other Marvel movie post “The Incredible Hulk.”
